gladiators, GLADIATORS!

The revamped Gladiators aired tonight, so I tuned in for the sake of watercooler talk tomorrow morning.

I also wanted to catch ex-AFL footballer Anthony "Kouta" Koutafides in his Gladiator lycra (hott, by the way – but I'm still not a fan of his face. Sorry, Kouta).

I really have nothing to say. It was much more entertaining when I was 11 years old. I liked watching Who Dares Wins back then too, so that doesn't say much. I miss JA and Mike Whitney as referees. And I wish my high school PE teacher was back on as a challenger – even if he'd be well onto 50 now. Overall the new generation Gladiators gets a big thumbs down from me.

I'm waiting for it's axing.

However, I will say that the following referee's words are very comforting.

Challenger, are you ready? … Gladiators, are you ready? … Three, two, one … [blows whistle].
Sad, I know.

I also have an embarrassing crush on Outlaw.
