Christmas is about eating (and jesus)


today I roasted my first ever whole chicken for christmas lunch. using jamie oliver's recipe. which involves jamming a giant hot lemon up the chicken's jacksie (not an easy thing to do without squirting hot lemon juice into everyones face. see that giant hole in the chicken? it was not even a third that size in the beginning).


end result: tasty chickeny goodness, though a little on the salty side (must note that when jamie says to rub the chicken with a "generous" amount of salt, he probably doesn't mean half a bowl full).
