these are some faux old-style penguin book covers designed by M.S. Corley for the harry potter series.






these covers are so, so great!
and so much better than the garish children's covers, and the gloomy adult covers. its a pity they're not being released for real.

i also really like his cover redesign for the philip pullman book northern lights.

also similarly awesome is this funny set of book covers for movies by spacesick ("i can read movies"), my favourites are for indiana jones and the temple of doom, and a "japanese" version of charlie and the chocolate factory heheh.
